The 2025  Norfolk Churches Bike Ride

on Saturday 13th September!

The Norfolk Churches Trust will be holding there popular  bike ride again this year.  For further information please see their website https://norfolkchurchestrust.org.uk/bike-ride-walk/

SEPTEMBER GROUP WALK

The walk on September 7th at 2pm starts and finishes at Earsham Village Hall. It will be mostly along The Bigod Way, which takes in Bath Hills, with breathtaking views of the river Waveney. It’s just under six miles and takes around two hours.

Parking will be at the public car park next to Earsham Village Hall (NR35 2TL).

All welcome to have tea and cake afterwards, at the home of Liz and Mike in Broome. Please let them know you are coming so we don’t leave without you (tel 07867 630933).

AUGUST GROUP WALK

There will be a walk on Sunday 17th August at 2pm starting from the car park at St Mary’s Church, Shotesham. St Mary’s is the church on Hawes Green, off Roger’s Lane next to the ruin of St Martin’s (NR15 1UW). It Is a circular walk of around 3 miles along footpaths and quiet lanes taking in Shotesham’s two active and two ruined churches, the Common, the Shotesham Rocket and some very beautiful countryside. Tea and cakes afterwards at the home of Fiona. Please let her know if you are coming so we don’t leave without you (telephone or text 07710 655537).

The walk on Saturday 19th July will start and finish at Barsham Church, Bungay Road Barsham, NR34 8HA. 2pm start. 6.5km/4.1miles, on quiet metalled lanes and footpaths/tracks. Tea afterwards at the church. Please let Cheryl (07565 467269) know if you’re coming so we don’t leave without you.

JUNE GROUP WALK

The next group walk on Sunday 29th June at 2:00 pm will be from Bramerton Common where there is parking at the bottom of Mill Hill close to Woods End (NR14 7ED). It is a circular walk of 4-5 miles along footpaths by the river to Surlingham Ferry, taking in quiet lanes and footpaths and much more back to Bramerton Common. Tea and cake afterwards at the home of Daphne and John. Please let them know if you will be coming so they don’t leave without you (Telephone or Text 07801329419).

May Group Walk

The next walk is on the Thursday 8th of May, it will start at Sheringham Park National Trust car park NR26 8TL.

The walk is approximately 7 miles; we will start promptly at 10:00am and head out towards the coast at Weybourne.

Head east along the coast and then go south through Sheringham Park back to the car park. After the walk those who wish will

head to the Old Reading Rooms in Kelling for lunch. Please contact David & Margaret on 01508 482562 and let us know if you

intend to come, so that we don’t leave without you.
