Marriage is a gift of God…….
The decision to get married is probably one of the biggest that we make in our lives. Choosing to commit ourselves to another person, for life, is a big step and deserves to be marked in a special way. For generations couples have chosen to come to church to make their marriage vows, remembering as they do so that God is present in their union and being supported by the prayers and love of the Church community.
We are delighted to welcome those who wish to get married in any of the five churches of our Benefice. Weddings can usually be arranged at a date and time to suit you and we are able to offer an organist, a choir and, in St Peter’s, Brooke, bell ringers too.
We offer all couples support as they prepare for their marriage;
- helping them to think through what marriage means and how it may change their lives
- considering the words of the marriage service and what it is that they will publically promise
- providing practical help to choose hymns, readings and symbols to make their service personal and meaningful for them
